Shilo

Birthdate: 4/18/2000
Heritage:
Registration: ARI Registered
ARI #: 821051
Color: Medium Silver Grey

Type: Male Huacaya
Status: Proven

Description: With a limited number of huacaya females, we find Shilo "a bit redundant" this year. We are willing to sell him for this exceptionally low price, or to lease him for a year for $1500! Shilo is an exceptional breeding male who needs more extensive use than we can offer him at this time. To prevent frustration on his part, we would either like to see him find a home with a farm focusing on a gray breeding program, or to lease him for a year to someone looking for an exceptional bargain in breedings by a proven gray macho.

At shows, Shilo has always been a "head turner" with a macho strut that would make a rooster proud! Shilo has a mild temperament and a high libido. He has extraordinarily dense, medium silver gray fiber with an exceptional handle. While Shilo's own fiber displays only moderate crimp, he repeatedly throws exceptional, uniform, high amplitude crimp in his offspring (see, for example, both Silver Lining and Lullaby on our site, who bear well structured, deeply crimped fiber from topknot to tail)! Shilo improves upon himself and the dams whom he has bred.

Don't let his fiber stats throw you! Shilo (like our whole crew!) has been on a heavy percentage of alfalfa/clover since our relocation, which has affected his (and everyone's) fleece micron. Until our move last year, Shilo maintained a maximum 24 micron fiber through 5 years of age!

From a New Zealand line, Shilo can bring fresh, new lineage to your gray breeding program, and add award-winning class to your show string. Take advantage of Shilo's fantastic reproductive abilities at this more than excellent price, or buy yourself several breedings for the price of one by leasing him for the year.

Wily Coyote had a wonderful, but brief, breeding history. Of 38 offspring, all but one were colored, 11 were black and 10 were gray or rose gray! His career was cut short by his untimely demise due to illness, which makes his line rare.
