Description: Zoe was a 30-day premie who overcame every challenge that life threw at her! At birth, she was too short to reach the milk bar, so she needed the occasional "boost" to nurse. She remains small, but is full of life and joie de vivre. Her fleece is slick and lustrous, with tiny flat locks that shimmer as she moves. In June, 2013, Zoe delivered a lovely brown female cria. However, the cria was stillborn due to a placenta previa. Undeterred, Zoe turned around and adopted the first cria who walked past -- Harley, who had been born the day before. Zoe is a very devoted and devoted and nurturing mother.

On June 2, 2014, Zoe delivered a beautiful light fawn female. Once again, Zoe proved to be an exemplary mom.

Zoe has been bred to Sonic Boom THA, an appaloosa who has thrown extremely lovely appie, harlequin and gray offspring. With Zoe's colorful genetics, we anticipate beautiful color in her 2016 cria.

But we don't breed just for color. Boomer has fantastic fiber stats, and is as fine and uniform as our white males, so we are assured that his offspring will carry the genetics - and we expect the phenotype - for excellence in fiber production as well as interesting color. If you are a cottage fiber producer or admirer, this offspring is one to watch for.

Lucy surprised us on July 26th with a 312-day female cria! The cria (yet unnamed) is absolutely beautiful - a LF gal with a tiny white star on her forehead. Because of her premature status, she only weighed in at 12 pounds, but was vigorous and active right from the start.

Lucy is a beautiful suri gal, with a LF rump and nose setting off her unusual rich-looking vanilla creme blanket, neck and legs. With exemplary four-square conformation and pearly locks, Lucy’s luster, density and lock architecture are outstanding. Lucy's part-Accoyo genetics show in her size, great bone structure and stature. She has dark toenails and a small DSG patch which should make for interesting possibilities in breeding choices. Lucy’s dam, HCL Bolivian Rainbow, is genetically TB with a large white spot that covers her dark-pigmented skin. Lucy has two TB half-siblings, as well as 3 beautifully patterned sibs. Lucy’s sire, PLA Cool Hand Luke, from whom she inherited her excellent fleece, is a c

Patches has exquisite conformation, fleece and presence, in addition to the renown genetics of Sergeant Major Jax and Pperuvian Juan. He has been evaluated by a well known suri breeder and judge as having excellent lock structure from skin to tip. Patch's first cria was born 9/3/09 - a lovely LB (solid!) female out of our Spectra. Her conformation seems impeccable. We'll keep you posted on her development.

Patch has taken awards at the 2008 ALSA Spring Show and the 2007 MIAF and OABA, as well as first place awards at the 2008 and 2009 Western New York Alpaca show. His fleece regrowth has been rapid, and he relocked very quickly. At the 2009 show, Judge Ken Hibbetts commented that he felt Patch's fiber exemplified what suri fleece should be!
