The Colonel's Coda

Birthdate: 8/27/2013
Heritage: 3/4 Bolivian, 1/4 Peruvian
Registration: ARI Registered
ARI #: 32401608
Color: Light Fawn

Type: Male Suri
Status: Non-Breeder

Description: Coda's very special quality is intense luster across long, flat locks that drape and shimmer when he moves. Like his sire, Coda gleams in the sunlight. His locks are the straight, flat, easy-to-open and card style that spinners favor. He will produce marvelous fiber. Coda would have been "the whole package" in any show ring except for one small, but not insignificant detail: his doesn't have his "boy package." Coda seems to be a cryptorchid which makes him a non-breeder. However, it also makes him extremely mellow in temperament and easy to manage. He would be a perfect "introductory" alpaca for someone looking to learn about alpacas prior to buying more expensive breeding stock.

I'd been interested in Rebeccah for at least a couple of years, and when the opportunity arose to acquire her for my foundation herd, I jumped at the chance. Rebeccah is a lovely, smaller female with excellent proportion and extremely lustrous fiber.

On May 30, 2012, Rebeccah delivered a beautiful TB male with great bone structure. A strong little boy, he was standing within 10 minutes of birth, and nursing within half an hour. He seems to be very active and healthy, and I'm enjoying watching him play with his herdmates.

On July 27, 2013, Rebeccah delivered a stunning LF male whom we will retain for our breeding program to replace his sire, who passed away from cancer in December, 2013.

This golden son of 4Peruvian Sheriff has exquisite, dense fiber that lights up the pasture! Colonel's fiber excels in luster and handle, and is uniform in those qualities as well as his golden color from head to tail, although his golden fawn shade covers black, and his progeny have thrown black. He bears dense, lightly twisted "flat" lock structure, with that coveted cool "greasy" feel. He also has excellent leg coverage to his toes. With excellent bone density, his conformation is near perfect, and his stature and demeanor befitting that of royalty. He is an aggressive breeder, perfect for the reluctant female. Let The Colonel bring glowing results to your suri breeding program.

Colonel's crias excel in lock and luster. We have now discovered that he also passes on a wonderful propensity for his crias to quickly develop excellent lock structure even after 3 shearings. We have also learned that Colonel's first grandson (a TB son of LSF Rhapsody) despite being the youn
