Description: Arioso ("Ari") is an absolutely beautiful white suri male who was born with perfectly formed, twisty "pencil" locks, glow-in-the-dark luster, and a patch of fawn that sets off the purity of his white locks. Even at 9 years of age, he displays many nicely twisted locks, and retains a uniform GR 3 fleece.

Just for fun, I showed Arioso this year (2015) at the first Showtacular combined Empire and Green Mountain fall shows. Not unexpectedly, he was the only one in his class, but the judges were both impressed with his lingering fineness, continued lock structure, excellent conformation and, as Diana Timmerman made a special point to note, his excellent jaw alignment - especially considering that his teeth have never needed trimming.

Ari's conformation is square and straight, another compact, typey suri sired by The Colonel. His fleece still has a cool, slick handle as a well-fleeced suri should. Coverage extends from his topknot to his toes, with beautiful pearly locks on his neck and chest. He has definitely inherited the extraordinary relocking capacity that The Colonel's offspring have all exhibited; the photo shows him at the age of 8, still with beautiful lock integrity. Arioso's strength, however, is his uniformity. His fleece has the same style, length, luster, lock and handle from his topknot to his tail and down his legs, and note his 2-year histogram that evidences this uniformity. His most recent histogram (see link above) reflects lingering fineness and uniformity. One of the qualities that nearly always need improvement is uniformity, and Arioso has brought that quality to his offspring.

Ari has an absolutely charming temperament and personality. He stands quietly for injections (well, okay, he whines and cushes), and even allows his legs and feet to be handled with no fuss! He is easy to shear and to manage. This type of easy-to-manage temperament is a very important quality to have across a herd.

Spectra is a lovely copper fawn and white suri female with very good fiber. Her well-formed individual locks are uniform throughout her coat. She has excellent conformation and is a sturdy, healthy dam. Spectra's 2006 cria is a beautiful white suri boy with a dark fawn spot on his side and a light fawn patch on his head. He is as straight as an arrow, with lovely, well-locked fleece.

Once again, Spectra rebred on one try. She delivered each of her crias with ease, has plenty of milk and is an attentive and protective dam. Given Spectra's proven productivity and reliable fertility, we expect that Arioso will provide years of consistent, reliable excellence in production - both of fleece and of healthy, hardy, fertile crias.

This golden son of 4Peruvian Sheriff has exquisite, dense fiber that lights up the pasture! Colonel's fiber excels in luster and handle, and is uniform in those qualities as well as his golden color from head to tail. He bears dense, lightly twisted "flat" lock structure, with that coveted cool "greasy" feel. He also has excellent leg coverage to his toes. With excellent bone density, his conformation is near perfect, and his stature and demeanor befitting that of royalty. He is an aggressive breeder, perfect for the reluctant female. His crias excel in fineness, lock and luster.
