Berry Acres Baco Tucker

Birthdate: 7/24/2006
Heritage: 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Other/Unknown
ARI #:
Color: Light Fawn

Type: Male Huacaya
Status: Unproven

Description: CONSIGNMENT: If you love the golden look, this young macho is right up your alley! If you want to improve fleece quality in your herd, this young macho is the guy to do it! If you love deep, bold crimp and a beautiful head, don’t hesitate! Tucker has it all!

Tucker is an exceptionally beautiful male who, but for what I suspect was the unfortunate positioning of a front leg in the womb, would be a superior prospect for the show ring. He otherwise has excellent conformation from nose to the tip of his tail, and my exam found no evidence of spinal or structural weakness. Tucker’s testicular development is exceptional for his age, which indicates that he will likely be a highly fertile male upon maturity.

When it comes to fiber quality, this male absolutely blew me away during my inspection. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for the golden boys, but holy cow! At 8 months of age, Tucker has everything one could ask for in a fiber producing species. He has incredible staple length, lock architecture, crimp frequency and amplitude, with exceptional coverage and brightness to boot! His lovely golden color was reminiscent of the Kenamori Gold line.

Tucker could be the buy of the century! Don’t miss the chance to get a male with these exceptional fiber qualities for this low price. Call today to arrange to visit Tucker and judge for yourself.

Poppy is one of those alpacas that make up the backbone of many a starter herd. She was imported in 1998, but is believed to have been born in or around 1997. Poppy wears her age well, as reflected in her still-good conformation. Poppy has an excellent production record and a history as being a great mom with copious quantities of milk.

Poppy’s fleece is pretty much what is expected of a producing female of her years. Remarkably, however, it still reflects very nice handle and fineness, although lock architecture and crimp have suffered the stresses of time. Her fleece exhibits uniformity in architecture, fineness, handle and coverage.

Poppy’s true value is best reflected in her crias. She has a history of being an excellent mom, with lots of milk. Poppy’s crias include Berry Acres Baco Tucker, Berry Acres Prince IRA and Tiana Rose (see their individual listings for full descriptions of their qualities). Poppy’s progeny clearly reflect the
